I'm thinking about adding some per-game player role/preferences, intended to help newcomers learn about particular games and find players to play with them. To avoid spam this would be run through a web interface, with email notifications when new activity occurs. And of course totally voluntary - you'd give yourself the roles through the player info interface.
"Evangelist" checkbox means you welcome all manner of questions about the game, and you intend to help spread the game around. This might appear in the rankings page as "joeben is the evangelist for Hive"
"Player" means you will respond to random requests to set up a game. Not necessarily positively, but the general idea is newbies could start a conversation about getting together for a game.
"Teacher" means you're willing to tutor a newcomer, along the lines of the "player" role, but with the understanding that the student doesn't know how to play yet.

Sounds good - I remember a site called www.brettspielwelt.de , dealing with boardgames, too, which had the same concept. I enjoyed to have somebody I could address my questions to.
You can sign me up as Teacher for Hive, Dvonn, Traboulet, Fanorona, Entrapment, Santorini, Tako Judo and Knockabout.
