Cannon
Cannon is a modern capturing game in the same general group
as Chess. Each player has a phalanx of soldiers, and
attempts to capture the opponent's town piece.
Soldiers generally only move forward, but can retreat if
threatened. The defining feature of the game is that a
line of three soldiers forms a cannon which can capture at a
