Epaminondas

Epaminondas is a race across the board game, based on Phalanx movement and captures. The rules are extremely simple.

The large board may look intimidating, but the pieces move fast, and once in contact, the game resolves quickly. Epaminondas can also be played on a smaller 10x8 board.

Epaminondas is an evolution of Crossings, which was described in Sid Sackson's classic A Gamut of Games, which also introduced Lines of Action.

Robots: Robot seems to be adequate, if not stellar.
